Meet Sonia Zubiate
Etiquette Coach, Trainer, Consultant
Sonia Zubiate is the founder and president of The Protocol Academy. She has shared her expertise on the morning, noon, and afternoon news programs in her area. And has been featured in local publications and has written business etiquette columns in both the Greater El Paso and Hispanic Chambers of Commerce newsletters. She is often called upon by, and enjoys sharing her knowledge with businesses, universities, colleges, organizations and executives.
Sonia serves as a Protocol Officer for the Department of Defense. She has worked as a successful sales representative for a top 10 pharmaceutical company, served as a Diabetes Health Educator, and a substitute teacher for grades K-12. She put herself through college and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, while employed at a financial institution. Although her past employment was rewarding and educational, etiquette and protocol are her passion. After a lengthy search, Sonia finally discovered the renowned Protocol School of Washington where she could further develop her skills and achieve certification as an etiquette and protocol consultant for adults, teens, and children. Her certifications include Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant, Protocol Officer, Tea Etiquette and Childrens and Teen Etiquette.
Sonia’s mission is to foster and cultivate civility. "I want to empower people with the tools that will make a positive difference in their lives-social or business. Etiquette and protocol are leadership skills that help a person lead a life of excellence. The way we behave and the way we treat others matters." Simply put, Sonia leads by example and will share the tips, tools and tactics that will produce positive results for you and your company. Good manners are good for business.
